Postcards

These are my postcards. I'll leave them behind for you. You'll find them some time after I have gone. You'll think about how pretentious I am. I don't truly understand myself. I find it hard to understand much else. I'm expected to know everything I dream to be. These are my postcards. My thoughts feel upside down. Not able to smile, or frown. Only a static, nothing type of sound. It's hypnotic, in it's own fatal sort of way. None of this will mean a thing to you. Ones nothing is all their own. Still, I'll leave them behind for you. These are my postcards.

I speak and you listen. Still you cannot see. You are enclosed, your secrets only to yourself. Our private jokes, I want them more than poems can tell. I can sense you around me, When you are not here, Your name and scent ring around my head, I want to tell you everything, but I stop myself, Forever the fool. We talk daily, For hours it seems, All tension and no movement. If I could pull up the courage, I'd tell you how you make me so abnormal. Thank you for reminding me that I still exist.

Leave me here, Floating in the paradox of you. Your enveloping complexities are my only comfort. My only wish. Your smell still lingers after years. It scares me. I don't know where you are but i know who you are. Who you were. Can you remember sleeping on the sand? I had my arm around you. Nothing could bother us there. Untouchable. I could list a million fucking memories. Nothing will change the present.

I can remember exactly when i first met you. The slight crease in your face as you smiled. If one thing could say something, then that did. I can remember everything. You shaped me. Made me. We grew into each other. We fell apart with each other. I cannot remember anything without you. I can remember exactly when we first kissed. The way your lips felt soft and curious, against mine. If one thing could say something, then that did. I'd live a million miles away. Another life and world away, with you. If I know what love is, it is because of you.

Sleep town. Overwhelmed by all the empty and the nothing that i have to do. Lies are an every day occurrence. Your claims of purity have been exaggerated. Too pitiful to ask for pity. You contradict yourself with the way you breathe. Judgment only sits well with the saintly. You seem so full of shit lately. The cracks are showing in your facade. The pursuit of happiness is best left to those with nothing better to do.

All the days we never had and never will. Choke on your love. What a wonderful way to exit. Asphyxiated. I can remember the first time that i saw you. You couldn't and didn't. I had to do it for you. An insensible tiny touch. Hanging on every word, just to see your mouth move. Incomparable - Undeniable - Indefinable. Mine. You showed me how to be, a utopian dream. All i've known and all i've seen was entwined in your being. Your fingers forever claspt in mine. I can remember the last time that i saw you. You couldn't and didn't. I had to do it for you.

Your attempts are futile. Bitterness wrapped in a sweetened melancholy. 25 years of empty. Abstruse attempts at a message, Your complexities are offending. What else do you want me to say? God never reached for me. I am overloading with hate and this anger i cannot seem to control or stop. I have no outlet. No words. No Voice. I want to scream but i have no voice. Happy - Smile Be productive and then you can die. My nihilistic endeavours have left me floating, yet I cannot decide if I want to come down. I live in a box that is full of smoke and talc. Continuous congestion. Powerless. Last egg gone. Weathered and wilting. My lively hood rests in the hands of 5. I am expendable. You sit in your wardrobe with dreams of Baryshnikov ,safe! It is sickening The taste is bitter on my tongue, slight moments of relief. Belittled with : "you are not special" , " your no better than anyone else"! LIES! I take part in vigilance for what maybe considered the freaks of the world. Not executing it for myself though.
